Obtaining a Tax Number, Opening a Bank Account in Turkey, Notery Services

We will assist you with opening a Bank Account in Turkey. We recommend the HSBC Bank as each branch has English speaking staff and offer an Internet Banking Service enabling you to access your account at anytime. However, you are free to open an account at a Bank of your choice. In order to purchase a property in Turkey or to open a Bank Account, you are required to obtain a Turkish Tax Number. We will assist you to do this.

In order to apply for the Title Deeds of the property in Bodrum that you are purchasing, a noterised copy of your passport translated into Turkish is required. We will accompany you to the Notery and arrange for an official translator to complete this. If you are planning to appoint your solicitor as Power of Attorney, then this can be completed at the same time.

Appointing a Solicitor

To ensure your house purchase runs smoothly and all legal aspects are adhered to, you will need to appoint a solicitor. We will accompany you to our recommend solicitor who will advise you on all the legal procedures involved in purchasing your property in Turkey. Our recommended solicitor speaks English and specializes in property conveyancing and will ensure that all payments for the property are protected. However, you are free to appoint an alternative solicitor of your choice.

Prices: Solicitor Fees £1000 – includes acting as Power of Attorney, applying for Military Permission and fully comprehensive Conveyancing service & transfer of Title Deeds.

Home Insurance

Once you have purchased your new home we recommend you buy Household Insurance. In Turkey properties are required to be insured against earthquakes. This insurance is called 'DASK'. We will arrange fully comprehensive household and earthquake insurance, ensuring you get competitive rates.

Prices: This service is complimentary for all PPS Clients. Insurance premiums will depend on the size and location of your property.

Building Repair, Garden Maintenance & Landscaping and Pool Maintenance

Building Repair – We contract proven professional tradesmen to take care of all your needs from minor repairs to full renovations and refurbishments. We ensure a high quality of workmanship with realistic prices and completions on time.

Garden Maintenance – In Turkey properties with private gardens will require maintenance and regular watering to ensure everything is in full bloom throughtout the sunshine. Let us take the strain, allowing you to enjoy your garden.

Garden Landscaping – A formally trained gardening supervisor will design the perfect solution for you, including plants and shrubs, patios and decking, hardworks including pavings, shade structures, pools, water features, garden paths, topsoiling and garden lighting.

Pool Maintenance - "Few people know that keeping a pool clean is not only a question of aesthetics – having a crystal clear pool. but also about protecting the health of the bathers: a swimming pool can turn into a pit of infections if the water is not treated correctly" We offer a variety of poolside cleaning, maintaining water levels, chemical testing and applications, pool cleaning/vacuuming. We can also recommend a professional pool design company who can advise and install your ideal swimming pool.

Furnishing your home

Whether you plan to rent out your property in Bodrum or live in it yourself, you will need to transform it from an empty shell into a home. Our After Sales Team can show you some of the best furniture stores in the area and accompany you on shopping trips. Whether your taste is traditional or contemporary, we can save you time and, in most cases, money. Alternatively, you can leave it all to us. Tell us what style you like and we will arrange for your home to be furnished and fully equipped, ready for you to move in. We also offer a range of set furniture packages for you to choose from.

Personal Shopper

If you prefer to choose your furniture in person but don’t know the area then you can opt for our ‘Personal Shopper’ service. We can drive you around in our transport and show you suitable stores from which to furnish your property. We will take you to reputable interior furnishing shops that can offer the best service, quality and prices. Our Personal Shopper will collect you from your home or hotel and even help you unload your purchases at the end of the day. If you are unable to be at home when your larger items are delivered then we will take care of this for you. We ensure that goods are delivered and unpacked and can also arrange for lighting and air-conditioning units etc to be installed.
Price: £20 for the 1st hour £10 per hour thereafter

Bespoke Furniture Ordering

Many home buyers are not in Turkey when their property is completed. We can arrange to purchase, take delivery and oversee the installation of fixtures & fittings, furniture, lighting, and just about anything you want to equip your new home ready for when you arrive. We will provide you with an on-line catalogue and price list from which to make your choices. Once you have made your decision we will visit your property, take measurements and ensure the necessary connections are in place for electrical items, white goods and air-conditioning units. All you need to do is provide us with access to your property.

Price: Each order is tailor-made, the prices quoted are correct at the time of publication.

Deep Clean of newly constructed properties

If your property in Turkey is newly constructed, we recommend a deep clean prior to furniture being delivered. In Turkey properties that are newly built can be very dusty and not as clean as you would like, as they have been exposed to the elements and had numerous workmen in and out. Our deep clean leaves your new property dust free and sparkling for your first arrival. A deep clean involves cleaning every possible area of your property including windows, internal and external doors, sills, skirting and kitchen units inside and out etc.
