We contacted PPS via email after they were recommended to us by a friend in Turkey, to sell our house in Gundogan. After visiting the office in Bodrum we gave power of attorney which really speeded up the sale process. We felt very reassured that the team knew what they were doing and confident that they would represent us fairly. Within a few months they had found a buyer for our house and were very supportive through the price negotiation process. We had an offer we were happy with and 3 days later the sale was completed, TAPU transferred and money received in our UK bank account. We couldn't believe how stress free the whole process was. We contacted PPS via the website and straight away we felt very familiar with them. Mel and Kim collected us promptly from our hotel 4th April and showed us 4 properties which fitted our requirements. We were very impressed with the first house they showed us. It was very exciting. We also looked at 7 other properties with another agent but nothing compared to the first one PPS showed us. Also, for us, there was a direct click with Mel and Kim. They put all the formalities in place for us, Tax Number, Solictor, Notery, Dutch Translator etc. Even when we were back in Holland, PPS continued to answer any questions we had promptly. Mel is the person I have directly dealt with throughout all stages of the purchase process and have kept in contact with regarding the security and upkeep of my villa. She is British but also speaks Turkish which is a great advantage when buying property in Turkey. I am one of those people that have been looking at holiday properties all over the world for a number of years but did not have the courage to take the final plunge into actually going to see one. Having visited the PPS website there was one that caught my eye. After several emails I arranged to fly out to Bodrum to take a look at one. Carol the owner of PPS arranged to have me picked up at the airport and transferred to a lovely hotel for 2 days. PPS arranged for me to see the property I was interested and 2 others in my somewhat modest price range. I made a verbal offer that day which was accepted by their client. Here is where PPS were of great help. On day 2 carol and one of her colleagues arranged for me to open a HSBC bank account (online and telephone banking included) arranged for me to get a tax number, arranged for me to meet a lawyer and arranged for me to have a Turkish Notary who could translate the final contract. I cannot think of how difficult the purchase would have been without PPS. With their help I had managed to view several properties and put all the necessary wheels in motion to complete the purchase of my holiday home in just 2 days. In addition Carol and her team had time to drive me around Bodrum looking at furniture shops and recommending the best places for all of the items that I needed. They have also helped with things not relating to the purchase of the property (home insurance etc). Their are worries that people will have when buying abroad.
